Volunteers needed - Round Two

CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS - SAT JAN 21, 2023 STARTING AT 10:00 AM

The North Bay Hills HOA is calling for volunteers this Saturday to help complete the cleaning of the common lot on North Bay Hills Blvd, across from the entrance to Valencia Circle, south of the Evergreen Manor assisted living community, and north of the drainage creek.

All volunteers should wear protective clothing such as boots, jeans, gloves, eye protection, etc. as they see fit. Safety is our primary concern, but everyone will be working at their own risk. We have put up CAUTION tape along the creek to alert everyone.

We also need volunteers who can bring tools to clear the area, including rakes, wheelbarrows, hand pruners, branch loppers, ladders, etc. We need to clear as many vines from the trees as possible so that we can determine which ones are sick/dead/dying and require removal. Much of the ground cover has been mulched and still needs to be raked up and removed.

Our volunteers did an amazing job this past weekend clearing ground cover, vines, brush, and overgrowth while transforming the lot into a common area green space that we can all enjoy.

We would like to extend a special thanks to Sean and Gabe Buczny. They were working all weekend to clear the area and they did an incredible job.

There have been suggestions for creating a community garden, an open green space, a gathering spot, and a potential location for our new entrance sign.

Even if you are unable to volunteer, we welcome everyone from the community to visit the lot to see the progress that has been made. We still have more work ahead before we are done, but we're off to a great start.
