North Bay Hills Water Main replacement project
This is an announcement from the North Bay Hills HOA based on information from representatives of the City of Safety Harbor. This is all the information we have at this time. Affected homeowners will be notified by mail prior to the start of work on the project.
The project in reference is the North Bay Hills Phase III Water Main Project approved by City Commission on September 19, 2022.
Augustine Construction was awarded the project. Please refer to attached Exhibit showing proposed construction location.
The project will include replacing 2-inch, 4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch water mains, water service connections, fire hydrant assemblies, and installation of new water meter boxes. The proposed work will take place along a section of North Bay Hills Blvd, and along portions of Mallard Drive, Teal Terrace, Egret Terrace, Avocet Place, and Sandpiper Lane.
Note that the Contractor, Augustine Construction, is currently planning out the project, and project shop drawings are still in review.
Water main pipe and materials may take up to 6-8 weeks for shipment/delivery.
We do not anticipate the water main work to begin for approximately 1.5 to 2 months.
Please note that project notification letters will be mailed to homes within the project area up to two (2) weeks prior to project start.
Also, notification by variable message boards will be in place up to two (2) weeks prior to water main work. The message boards will be located at the North Bay Hills Blvd entry at SR 580 and within City Right of Way along Swan Lane. Notification of any roadway closures during construction will be present one (1) week before work begins. Roadway Construction Signs and workman flaggers will direct traffic accordingly during construction. Maintenance of traffic will be in progress throughout the construction period. Note that the Augustine Construction will provide advance notifications for any water shutdowns required for new water main connections.
Please note that work hours are limited to weekdays from 7 AM to 6 PM. No work will occur between the hours of 6 PM and 7 AM on any day, or at any time on Sunday (per City of Safety Harbor’s Code of Ordinances, Chapter 15, Section 15.03).
